Join us for BAJJ Havdalah as we gather in the Jewish month of Cheshvan, known as “the quiet month” that follows the High Holy Days and Sukkot. After a season of spiritual intensity and celebration, Cheshvan invites us to slow down, turn inward, and find holiness in the ordinary.
We will gather at a private home (address provided after RSVP) in San Francisco to enjoy a potluck dinner and a short Havdalah ritual and reflection for Cheshvan.
Please bring a fallen leaf from outside. Together, we’ll mark the transition from Shabbat into the new week with candlelight, spices, and a simple seasonal ritual. We’ll each share something we’re ready to release, place our leaves around the candle, and reflect on what we hope to nurture as we move into the darker months of the year.![]()

You do not need to be Jewish or know things about Havdalah or Cheshvan to attend! Kids are welcome though there will not be kid-specific programming at this event (we hope to do more of that in the future).
