The Chochmat Halev Immigrant Accompaniment Team is hosting Bay Area Jews for Justice for an inspiring learning opportunity! We will be exploring the connections between the US Jewish experience and current attacks on immigrant communities, and will be discussing how you can take action today, including with the ICE Out of Dublin campaign, business canvassing, and rapid response. If you want to get more involved in immigration work in the Bay Area, this is the workshop for you! Join Bay Area Jews for Justice (BAJJ) for this orientation to our organization! This gathering will include opportunities for relationship-building, learning about our priorities and structure, and information about ways to get involved. We offer orientations in San Francisco, East Bay, and on Zoom. Orientation sessions are capped at 30 participants, so sign up soon to reserve your spot.  Accessibility Information We want to make our events as accessible as possible. Please let us know if there are any accessibility needs or if there is anything we can do to make joining our events more possible for you. We will be meeting in a yard outside.  We will have chairs for everyone. There is some uneven ground to get to the outdoor space but is otherwise wheelchair accessible. Masking is welcome outdoors, but not required. The bathroom is up some stairs and not accessible via wheelchair. In case of rain, we will move the orientation inside where masking will be required (or we will let everyone know in case we need to cancel). We ask that anyone who is feeling sick not attend the event. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to make joining our events more possible for you. We do not have plans to offer interpretation (foreign language or ASL), but if that's something you need, please let us know, as we may be able to build it into future events.

Join Bay Area Jews for Justice and the ICE out of Dublin coalition for a community canvass in the surrounding area to FCI Dublin. We will talk to neighbors about the possibility of ICE opening a detention facility, and ask folks to envision what they would rather see the land used as. This will be a moment to learn more about the ICE out of Dublin campaign and build support against this project! No prior canvassing experience necessary!
